The work led to the reconstruction and protection of various pieces of the mosaic tiles that show the drawing of Cervantes and a fragment is your Journey to Parnassus, on arrival at the port of Cartagena, facing its final stretch.
Sources in the Department of Culture, who directs the work, have indicated that they expected to end next week, including sanitation and repainted the wall on which they are installed.
Both mosaics were placed at the foot of the former military government in the 50s of last century, with the idea of welcoming visitors to the city.
Over the years, some of the tiles were damaged and chipped had caused moisture in the wall.
Restoration work began in mid-April, with the placement of a fence around the area, which is also the memorial d the third centenary of Cervantes s in 1905, which was originally located at the Graduate School Cartagena (the first in Spain) and a mosaic of the most important milestones in the history of the city, placed both there for 13 years.
