Councillor for Education of the City of Cartagena, Joseph Marotta, attended at noon yesterday and awards ntrega the VI Olympiad of Informatics and Modding X Contest in Integration Center Training Carlos III.
The event was chaired by the Director General of Vocational Training, Begoña Iniesta, accompanied at the table by the Vice President for Student UPCT, Francisco Martinez, the director of the UNED, Juan Antonio Cava, director of the PFIC Carlos III, Maria Concepcion Fraga, and the head of the department of Computer Science and coordinator of activities, Ramón Mateos.
José Manuel García, Ángel Víctor Robles and Santillana all IES San Juan de la Cruz Caravaca de la Cruz were the winners of the VI Olympiad of Informatics, while the winner was tire Modding, Marlon Espinoza, Ruben Huelva, Irina Markova, Peter à "scar and Natalia Zapata Carlos III Cartagena PFIC.
One hundred students from ten different schools have participated in the Olympics of Informatics VI, with six years behind them, designed to foster teamwork and promote vocational training, vocational training specifically related to Information Technology and Communications.
Gathered in pairs or groups of three, students have responded choice questions on the subjects they are studying as hardware and operating systems, databases, networks or free software.
As for X Modding Contest, technique of modifying the appearance or operation of the computers most varied ideas, this year there have been in all a total of 10 procedures related to this art work.
Facing mounting modules and maintenance, modding requires great effort and work of both students and teachers, thus meeting the primary objective to be achieved with this type of initiative: cooperation and teamwork.
