The Department of Environment of the City of Cartagena begin installing this week 25 new containers for the collection of clothes, shoes and toys, under a new cooperation agreement signed last week with the Association of Southeast Reused and Recycled, the by delivering Caritas recovered materials.
The first ten containers will be installed in El Algar, C / Ingeniero de la Cierva, Virgen de la Caridad, C / Antonio Navarro Lauret, Barrio de la Concepción, C / Ramón y Cajal, Las Lomas of the trough, the Aljorra, the Albujón and Los Dolores (Salesian College).
With these new containers, the municipality will have a total of 52 containers for the collection of clothes, which is expected to double the amount of waste recovered.
During the past year 2012, the Township clothing containers collected a total of 22,539 pounds of clothing, shoes and toys.
