To round off the activities in honor of St. Rita, patroness of public employees of the City of Cartagena, was held this afternoon at the Palace Hall usual recognition plaques delivery to retirees during the last twelve months.
The ceremony was presided over by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, who highlighted its significance and relevance has been given in recent years to acknowledge the work and efforts of municipal officials and wish them a long and healthy retirement.
Barreiro has said that in the years leading to the front of City Hall has noted the work and professionalism of the staff, his devotion and dedication.
He also underlined the years of service of the honorees, which involved most of his life for many of them.
Along with the mayor were Councillor of Finance and Personnel, Fatima Suanzes; Staff Coordinator, Nieto Hope, and the Human Resources Manager, José Serrano.
During the last twelve months have reached retirement age or illness or by twenty municipal employees, although this act only fourteen were able to attend the board have received recognition from the mayor.
The fourteen have been Abilio López García, with ten years of service; Manuela Piñana Briones, 16, Jose Maria Penalver Fernández, 25, Maria Teresa González Rodríguez, with 26, Miguel Ángel Russo Amen, with 28; Enrique Martinez Romero, with 28; Francisco Jesus Lopez Pedrosa, with 28; Juan Perez Martinez, 29, Miguel González Páez, with 31; Germán Martínez Saura, with 31; Juan Antonio Sánchez Cañavate, with 31; Antonio Carballo Dominguez with 37, Jose Antonio Guerrero Sanchez, 38, and Antonio Izquierdo Vera, with 38.
The rest of the list of retirees Nieto Manso Consolation completed 40 years of service; Guillermo Ortega Guerrero, with 39; Francisco Sánchez Gallego, 30, Maria Teresa Sáez Bastida, 24, and Rafael Fernandez Santiago, with 22: not were able to attend.
Earlier in the Mayor's office has been delivery of a plaque to the family of F rancisco Alberto Martinez Phenol, concierge school group, died with 18 years of service.
After the delivery has been made, the usual picture of the mayor with them on the steps of the Town Hall.
The celebration of the patron saint of municipal officials also motivated that last Friday, May 24, cerrasen public administrative agencies of the City.
As every year, the municipal public employees organized a series of cultural, sports and leisure, which began on Wednesday May 15th a poetry recital at Cafe Mr. Witt of San Roque Street, in which several poetry enthusiasts officials read their work.
Activities continued on Friday May 17 with the opening of the traditional exhibition of painting, photography models and Cultural Center Luzzy Ramon Alonso.
The exhibition will be open until the 30th of this month.
The works are made by municipal officials and also by popular vote were given three awards for each modality.
On Wednesday May 22, the day of Santa Rita, took place in the afternoon Mass at the Church of San Diego, along with a championship Kart at Tejeras circuit.
It is clear that the holiday was moved by mutual agreement and to affect a lesser extent, from Wednesday to Friday 24 May.
On Thursday night there was a Dinner Dance fraternization in Golden Lady and Friday, day off, there was a biker route for the west side of town, ending with a tasting of a paella.
For those without bike, there was a tourist route to the Sima de las Palomas in Torre Pacheco.
Finally, on May 31 will be a championship bowling, dominoes and mus.
