The Municipal Institute of Social Services City of Cartagena is a collaborating center of the Practicum in P edagogía titles, Psychology and Social Education, Faculty of Education, University of Murcia.
This morning, students in the first year of the Bachelor of Social Education, with Professor of Social Pedagogy course, Pedro Luis Moreno, belonging to the university, have moved to Cartagena in order to visit some of the most important institutions related with child protection as has been the building of La Milagrosa.
This visit is covered by scheduling regular classes of the subject mentioned, and is intended to meet directly some of the historic buildings that had to do with social education and childhood protective action over the eighteenth and XIX.
The cooperation of the City of Cartagena, through the IMSS, has been to allow access to approximately fifty students and the teacher, accompanied Social Educator Technical Support Unit and Legal, to some of the premises of the building La Milagrosa and give a brief explanation of the various stages of education for which the institution has gone under in the last two decades.
