5th students of Primary School Our Lady of Sorrows shared with the Mayor and Council of Employment and Education, the process of creating two cooperatives, Good Arts and Chic and Cheap, framed within the EME project entrepreneurs, driven by the Region of Murcia
Working as a team, be responsible, know sell original products or solve problems are some of the business lessons that students of 5 ° of Primary school Our Lady of Sorrows have learned through their participation in the Project EME entrepreneurs.
Fifty students have shared with the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, Councillor for Employment and New Technologies, Diego Ortega, and the mayor of Education, Joseph Marotta, how was the process of establishing cooperatives Good Arts of 5 ° A and Chic Cheap and 5 ° B.
Although we are small we can do greater things, explained during the presentation.
Thus, during the school have performed work as choosing logos, writing bylaws, one of the standards for each partner should contribute $ 5, or CIF, the ID of the company as emphasized.
All these previous efforts are aimed at achieving objectives: the manufacture and sale of products. For this we also conducted a study of Fem or to see which ones are most successful.
And, among its range of products including: rings, bookmark, carryall, tidy tray or bracelets, the latter being the most voted among the respondents.
Solidarity also has a place in this project, and 15% of the profits will go to Caritas and Paul, two social entities in the neighborhood, while the rest of the economic returns will be used for activities involving all members of the two cooperatives.
With the EME project aims to develop entrepreneurial skills in children and young people from an early age, working on them skills such as personal initiative, autonomy and communication skills, among others, capacities of an entrepreneur.
After exposure, which has been accompanied by a video that briefly illustrates the steps in this process, t he students have gifted to the mayor and Councilman Diego Ortega with some copies of their own craft gifts.
Also, the event concluded with a dance whose raison d'etre is to get people to come to your booth.
EME Project, is driven by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, through the Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia (INFO), together with the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment and is framed within the Emprendemos Plan in the axis of action, Promotion of Enterprise Culture in Early Ages.
This year, in the region of Cartagena, has increased the participation of schools: Mediterranean IEPC, IEPC Virginia Perez, CEIP San Isidoro, CEIP Feliciano Sanchez, CC Leonardo Da Vinci, CEIP Our Lady of Sorrows and CEIP Vicente Medina.
In total, there have been a total of 17 mini-companies and 390 students have participated in this project.
Ll of them, along with the rest of the Primary and Secondary students involved in these projects Fostering Entrepreneurial Culture in Early Ages, a total of 2200 students will participate in the grand finale to be held on 29th May at Murcia, in the IV Minimarket School.
