In order to support and give a boost to women's football, Sports Association Marfagones Mills Féminas Soledad, in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Cartagena, has organized the 2nd Cross West Popular Cartagena, held on Sunday 19 May.
The presentation of the test, which took place today, has been attended by the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, who have been with the club president Soledad Féminas, Alfonso García Legaz, and secretary and coach Jose Martinez Robles, who were referred to the success of the first edition of the race, with a figure of 135 runners this year we expect at least repeat, as a reason to re-organize and try to consolidate it.
The Cross, which will start at 11.00 hours for the lower grades and 12.00 hours for the rest, go a circuit of 6000 meters (1500 meters for small) by Mills Marfagones around, starting and finishing in Soccer Camp this town, where participants receive a large paella and trophies for the winners of all categories.
Registration can be done in the sports shop Runtrishop, Plaza Maria Cristina against the English Court, and the price of them is 6 euros for adults and 4 euros for children up to 16 years.
Diego Ortega has called encouraging participation in the Cross, remembering that popular careers are booming and thus, from the Department of Sports, we try to lend a hand to be consolidated.
The football team Féminas Solitude, which organizes the event, is currently made up of 19 girls aged 9 and 13, and 22 records of 14 years or older.
