For the first time in an event, shake hands sports, Easter and social integration, it's the First Week of Sport Paradise Beach, which runs from 1 to 9 June and is the result of an initiative that part of the Brotherhood of the Risen One, is organized by the Municipal Sports Center Playa Paraiso and Deportivo La Manga Club, and has the support of the City of Cartagena.
In the presentation of the event have been representatives of these entities, the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, the president of the Association of the Appearance of Jesus to the Disciples of Emmaus of the Brotherhood of the Risen Savior Monteagudo, and Joaquín Martínez, in representing the Club Deportivo La Manga.
In this cocktail sports, there will be water activities such as canoeing, water skiing and an introduction to wakeboard, but also popular tests, such as a gear on a mountain bike, a trophy of football 7 or Cross shores of the Mar Menor which crowns the week.
The goal, stated Joaquin Martinez, is to make an interesting sports week also is attractive to tourism, especially in an area like the Mar Menor and in the days before the beginning of summer.
It is expected to be mobilized around 2,000 people, who will participate in all activities.
Some of them require registration, at reasonable prices, but there will be lectures and panel discussions, all open to the general public and free.
In addition, the event will have a social character as part of the proceeds will be shared between charities such as Caritas and Social Dining.
The inscripiciones for Paradise Extreme MTB March I, which will cover a distance of 60 kilometers, will be 15 euros for 25 for federated and non-federated cyclists.
As for the dorsal to the Cross, the price is 7 euros and will travel 7 kilometers from Playa Paraiso (Playa Honda) to smaller islands.
