The most democratic awards Spanish letters, Hache and Mandarache be delivered, on Tuesday, May 7 in Cartagena at a gala to be attended by 1,400 young readers and which will present the finalists of the next edition.
It will be at 11:30 pm in the Auditorium El Batel Cartagena when Clara Sanchez and Alfredo Gómez Cerdá receive the recognition of these awards juries since 2004 promoting the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena and granted by juries hundreds of young readers reading committees organized in: 1,500 adolescents (12-14 years) for Hache Prize and 2,000 young people (15-30 years) in the Mandarache Award.
The two winning writers, return to Cartagena to celebrate their success at a gala to chair the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and during which six writers finalists unveiled the next edition.
Both literary awards Mandarache and Hache, are endowed with 3,000 euros and a reproduction of a sculpture by artist Ángel Haro.
The show was conceived by stage directors Nieves Pérez-Abad, Alfredo Angarita and Begoña Iriarte.
In addition to the prizes awarded to writers called Supplemental Awards involving young readers: Literary Criticism Prize, Prize of Illustration Prize for fiction, video competition on reading, Prize for the best work of a faculty and Prize for the best work of promoting reading.
(Before the start of the Gala, about 11.15 pm, a meeting is scheduled with winning authors of media in the foyer of the Batel).
