The School Theatre Festival, organized each year by the Department of Education, is celebrating its 25th anniversary and on this occasion, as the Councillor Joseph Marotta, the closing ceremony on May 23 at 11, 00 hours, will be held at the Municipal Auditorium El Batel and invited the Minister of Education and other authorities, as well as people who have participated and collaborated in the organization of this event in previous years.
The sample, which was presented this morning, will be held from 6 to 23 May and will involve about 250 students from twelve schools, representing thirteen plays to an audience of 4,000 students.
The musical, according Maroto, is what prevails this year, in view of the works included in the program, among which there is a sung version of Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland and The Music of the Kingdom of Fantasy, based on the literary character Geronimo Stilton.
The performances will be at 11 am at the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramon Alonso, except on 22 May, there will be two works, one at 10.30 and one at 12.00.
For the Councillor for Education, the success of this activity between teachers and students is what has saved the crisis, since there are still a lot of demand, since it contributes to the development of the kids and their education.
Throughout the years in which the sample has been held, have represented more than 450 works and involved nearly all schools in the municipality.
In this edition XXV involved the following schools: CEIP José María Lapuerta, CEIP Virgen del Carmen, Quarrying Occupational Center, EEC Early Lopez, CEIP Mare Nostrum, CEIP San Isidoro and Santa Florentina, CEIP La Conception, CEIP San Isidro, Sacred Heart College , IES Espada, Franciscans and CEIP La Asomada.
