Cartagena Port of Cultures has called for the sixth year, a new edition of photography contest, which this time is presented under the slogan CARTAGENA PORT OF CULTURES IN THE NIGHT OF THE MUSEUMS.

The aim of the contest is to capture in images the opening night of the city of art and culture, and the enjoyment of visitors in museums during the event which will be held on May 18, from 20:00 to 2: 00 hours.

The Punic Wall, the Castillo de la Concepción, the Roman Theatre, the Refuge of the Civil War, and since last year also the neighborhood of the Roman Forum spaces are recovered and converted into cultural tourism, that during the Night of the Museums can be enjoyed by all audiences.

As explained company sources, is about finding an image that reflects the cultural night that lives with great intensity during this night on the town.

The relationship that develops between the public, the cultural and leisure and museums during the Night of Museums, in which a large and diverse number of visitors can enjoy them.

The evening entertainment culture and mark the novelty of this issue regarding the already concluded by Cartagena Port of Cultures.

Another novelty is the collaboration of the English Court of Cartagena which sponsors the awards:

First prize: $ 500 in gift card of El Corte Inglés. Second prize: 200 euro gift card of El Corte Ingles Three second prize: $ 100 in gift card of El Corte Inglés.

The contest rules for participation are at the website www.cartagenapuertodeculturas.com , with the deadline for submission of images in digital format, from May 19 to June 2.

Cartagena The English Court held in its premises an exhibition of the photographs presented on the web, from June 7 to June 22 in order for the public vote the best photographs.

The 50 percent of the most voted will become the pre-selected for a jury awards fail.

The awards ceremony will take place in Cartagena EL CORTE INGLES.

In each of the previous editions of this contest has attracted the attention of many photographers, travelers throughout the Region, Alicante, Almeria, Cadiz, Granada, Barcelona and Salamanca, being a reason for photo enthusiasts come to know town.
