On Thursday April 25 will be held in Fuenlabrada the 5th Meeting of the Spanish Network of Intercultural Cities (RECI), which is a member Cartagena since its approval by the Governing Board on May 9, 2011. Representing the city , attend the Immigration Program Coordinator of the Department of Social Services.
This project is managed by the Pompeu Fabra University, in collaboration with Obra Social La Caixa, and consists of nine cities: Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, San Sebastian, Getxo, Fuenlabrada, Parla, Sabadell, Jerez and the Cabildo of Tenerife.
The RECI created with the aim of sharing the culture of diversity among the various participating cities. This fifth meeting is an example of the dynamics of labor in which the interaction and exchange of experiences are the hallmarks of this program which aims to strengthen the development of intercultural policies and practices.
The RECI is placed within the action Intercultural Cities, organized jointly by the Council of Europe and the European Commission.
