The mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, met today at the Palace Hall at Club Rhythmic gymnasts Gymnastics Club Cartagena and San Antón, with their recent proclamation as champions of Spain Cup Aesthetic Group Gymnastics held in Huesca, and its imminent participation in the World Championship this modality gymnastics, to be held from 5 to 8 April in Bulgaria.
Municipal School base is composed of about 1,000 gymnasts aged between 8 and 18, in the categories of children, youth and seniors, who are trained and educated in the ten municipal wards where it develops rhythmic gymnastics and gymnastics aesthetics and form the pool of highly competitive teams.
Thanks to the work that has been done, Cartagena has become a world leader to host international competitions, organized in the last Municipal Sports Pavilion was the Absolute World Championships Aesthetic Group Gymnastics 2012.

The team consists of 10 child gymnasts 8-10 years and trains a weekly average of 9 hours: Andrea Montero, Alba White, Martha Mateo, White Alba, Luna Tobal, Carlota Pascual, Pascual Itziar, Reme Velez, Candela and Belen Garcia .
The team consists of nine junior gymnasts, aged between 14 and 16 years: Santiago Rodriguez, Marta Mula, Ainhoa ​​Sanz, Marian Lozano, Celia Navy, Carmen Tobal, Fatima Tobal, Silvia Arenas, Laura Martin.
The senior team with 6 gymnasts from 16 to 18 years: Maria Zapico, Almudena Martinez, Loreto Tobal, Alba Montoro, Noelia Esparza, Ainhoa ​​Arranz.En as the technical team is composed Blaya Rosa, Mar Sánchez, Elena Conesa, Cristina Martinez Lucrecia Alcaraz, Isabel Fernandez, Francisca Martinez with the collaboration of 12 based fitness trainers.
