The FICC organized the talk, Women behind the camera, to be held tomorrow in MURAM, and that will address the under-representation of women in film, screened while three shorts by filmmakers from the region
The International Film Festival of Cartagena (FICC) has organized for tomorrow, Thursday, April 4, at 17.30 hours, a meeting which will discuss the role of women in film in the Regional Museum of Modern Art (MURAM ).
The talk, Women behind the camera, is presented as a disruption in the exhibition, the thread of life, organized by Fragments Suspended in MURAM occasion of the International Day of Women.
In Spain, only 7% of women engaged in r ealización film. Why is so little presence of women in leadership roles in the film industry? To answer this question, the FICC gather Ballabriga Ana, Juana Belén Ana Baeza and the bathroom, three directors of the region, to address this issue.
The works and words of these three filmmakers will form the core of this projection-symposium, which also may see their films: Ã Gueda (2008) and David Anne Ballabriga Zaplana, The future belongs to no one (2010) directed by Ana Belén Baeza, and the wedding dress (2009) Joan of Bath and Jesus Perez.
Admission for this event set in the MURAM (Plaza de la Merced, 15), will be free until all seats.
