The Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, accompanied by the president of the Foundation FC Cartagena, José Gómez Meseguer, and Vice President of the same, Nicholas Lopez, presented this morning the IV Soccer Tournament August Benjamin Gomez Meseguer Sports City
to be held on Saturday March 30 in Cartagena.
Despite the current economic situation, the tournament has been set up, thanks to the efforts and support of entrepreneurs in the Region of Murcia, as stated by Jose Gomez.
This competition will once more with ten top teams: Elche CF, FC Cartagena, Granada CF, Ranero, Villarreal CF, Rayo Vallecano, UD Almeria, Real Murcia, Kelme and Hercules CF.
But, and parallel to this IV Tournament over the weekend will be carried out other activities.
Thus, as explained Leo Gomez, coordinator of the foundations of FC Cartagena, also hold an eight-team tournament in Football Prebenjamín category, which will involve a team of Murcia, a selection of the region of Cartagena and the FC Cartagena
Then, on Sunday March 31 there is provided a day together consisting of a triangular in each of the following categories, Cadet, Infantile, juvenile and Benjamin, which will face a selection of Northwest and one of the Shire of Cartagena.
The culmination of this tournament, participants will enjoy a paella as usual in this competition.
Leo Gomez added that this tournament is a holiday, while allowing to know the level of football in Region 8.
Over a thousand people attend the Ciudad Deportiva Gomez I Seguer (Cabezo Industrial Beaza) during the next weekend.
The budget of this IV Tournament is 8,000 euros, as the president of FC Cartagena, who hopes the weather with you during this sports day.
In addition, the organization has announced that work on the bill next year in an attempt to overcome this.
