Local Police Officers of Old Town section of Cartagena on Monday arrested a Spanish ndividuo i 30 years old, on suspicion of theft of more than 5 kilos of electrical wiring from the boxes of municipal lighting .

The incident occurred about half past four in the afternoon in the Old Town area.

The police action was initiated following a local call to the base of 092, which warned of the presence of an individual who was uncovering manholes municipal lighting and subtracting electrical wiring.

The alleged perpetrator f ue surprised by the agents, carrying a pair of pliers and a screwdriver, and a plastic bag bearing the wiring, green and yellow, which is used in ground facilities.
