Cartagena Local Police, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic, made ​​from Monday until 17 March a special campaign on the use of seat belts and child restraint systems (CRS).

With this preventive campaign tries to educate all drivers and passengers that the seat belt is a basic and fundamental element of road safety and reduces by half the risk of death in a crash.

The use of seat belts is mandatory for any journey short or long, and out of town, and both front seats and in the rear.

The non-use is a major risk to road safety because in a frontal impact the wear seat belts, decreases by more than 60 percent injury.
