The former creator and director of the Forensic Anatomical Institute of Cartagena, Emilio Perez Pujol, this afternoon received the Commendation of the Order of Isabel the Catholic, recently granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreir or has been commissioned to deliver this recognition, in a simple act that has taken place in the Ceremonial Hall of the Palace Hall.
Family and friends have accompanied Emilio on this special day. Barreiro said that, as happens in the political sphere, in the field of justice, Emilio has made ​​great friends, but also enemies, which is a sign of professionalism and objectivity that characterizes his work.
The mayor also highlighted the close relationship between the two and how it was in 1989 when forensic, radical views and forceful, as Barreiro, began their struggle for the implementation of the Forensic Anatomical Institute of this city.
Before giving the floor to the honoree, Pilar has thanked him for his work both in training and in technical advances, which have enabled the center of Cartagena is one of the pointers. Likewise, wished him the best of luck for this new stage of his life.
