The secret egg blue and the importance of telling the truth (06/03/2013)

The writer Alicante, Catalina Gonzalez Vilar, has remained in the morning two meetings with students of the 2nd year of primary school at the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramon Alonso. The author has presented his work, The Secret of Blue Egg (Editorial SM) within the space, Encounters with author, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena.

Award winning Steamer in 2012, this story is set in the Land of Lies, contrary to what its name indicates, its inhabitants are not responsible for missing the truth, but to manage and tackle the lies that come from elsewhere.

Wizards, dragons or giant snails are some of the characters in this story, whose hero is Prince Rolav, the custodian of the blue egg. However, an oversight and the subsequent lie, trigger numerous adventures that bring transcendence relevant to take responsibility for our actions.

What matters are the adventures, but we must not lose sight of the need to have courage to speak the truth, says Catherine, who says, that through these meetings the students discover that behind every story there is always someone. The job of a writer is alone, and after these experiences come home wanting to keep writing, adds Alicante.

How do you inspire, has been one of the questions, and Catalina has alluded to the drawer of the imagination, it is filled with travel, reading, movies or meeting with friends.

Currently working on a story contextualized in the Amazon jungle, and that, while not ruling out writing for other audiences, their stories are fanciful and always seeks the complicity with young audiences. And, in these ages are becoming independent readers and enjoy even more of the books.

Literature without ADJECTIVES

Catalina Gonzalez is the third of five siblings, she says, was instrumental in order to decide to write books.

After studying social anthropology at the University of Barcelona, ​​over the years he discovered that his true calling was the children's literature. His books have won several awards and have crossed borders.

So much so, that the author had to travel to Mexico to collect the award which gave the Guadalajara Book Fair. Now, is happy that all the stories that were in no man's land, may be available to anyone who is interested in literature.
