Firefighter of the City of Cartagena, Jose Pardo Fernandez has won the title of runner-Spain High Jump Master 45 in national athletics championships for veterans, held this past weekend in Zaragoza.

Pardo, part of the Sports Association Fire Cartagena Mediterranean Park, won the silver medal in this category with a jump of 1 meter and 59 centimeters, improving his personal best by 9 centimeters.

Although initially three firefighters were to compete in these championships Cartagena finally could only go José Pardo, who managed the first national medal Fire Team Cartagena.
