Following the campaign to prevent and combat truancy, Agents Section Judicial Police Victim Protection, in collaboration with the Department of Education and the Municipal Plan Truancy (EPE), have increased during these days their presence in the vicinity of secondary schools, detecting four new cases of minors, aged between 14 and 16 years, who were outside the school during school hours.
The children, who were briefed by officers on compulsory school attendance, were transferred to their respective centers that were available to the head teacher.
In general, when a child fails to attend school more than one day without cause, teachers are put in touch with their families and, in most cases, you only have the first police intervention, with which aims to ensure the continuity of schooling.
