Tomorrow, Wednesday 27 February at 12.10 hours, the writer, based in Cartagena, Antonio Parra Sanz, hold a symposium on his book of short stories, Opposites (Atlantis Editions, 2011) with Isaac Peral IES students who have read his work.
This visit is part of the new section, Regional Guest Writer, Project Training Mandarache Readers, organized by the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena.
This new category, in which the Group Project developer selects a work of an author in the region, created with the aim of promoting contemporary literature among readers most current participants in the Young Reader Prize Mandarache. Books are provided by project organization, which provides 25 copies on loan to the participating school library.
The writer, who visited the IES Mediterranean in the coming months hold other meetings at IES IES Los Molinos and Jiménez de la Espada. Addition of secondary students, readers also over 30 participating in book clubs Municipal Libraries hold a meeting with the writer in April between the activities planned by the library to celebrate World Book Day.
Also, on Thursday February 21, was held in the Intercultural Center Old Town, the third and last meeting with the author of this Hache Awards, organized by the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena.
The writer Alfredo Gómez Cerdá readers commented with Pain and Casco Antiguo, his work finalist, The Face of the shadows, in bringing to the fore the risks that accompany the use of Internet.
After this last visit opens the deliberation of the award period Hache in which young people must finish reading the three novels finalists to exercise their right to vote next month opened l where voting will take place through the web www.premiomandarache.es .
The final decision will be issued in May.
Regarding Award Finalists Mandarache place yet to be visited by Vicente Luis Mora, on 7 and 8 March, after which it will open the discussion period of the award.
