The works that the City is undertaking to replace concrete pavers in several streets of the old city are going at a good pace and by the end of this week, is scheduled to end the first phase, which affects the streets Principe de Vergara Canyon and Air.
The total project includes the placement of new pavement, concrete form in the streets mentioned above, plus Jara and Campos, representing a total of 2,000 square meters, and since work began, last Wednesday, to today , have run 425 square meters, almost a quarter of the total.
It is expected that the works, currently between the curve of the street and crossing Cannon Air with San Miguel, let finish the concreting of Air Street later this week, then going to the second phase, starting by Jara Street.
From the Department of Infrastructure, the priority is to expedite this work so that activities such as Top Road or events leading up to Easter, are affected as little as possible.
To do this, pedestrian access has remained open, while another vehicle traffic will remain off until the works are completed.
