The conversion work Primary Care Center of Barrio de la Concepción in Cartagena Health Center-West, have come back into running after a break of one year, caused by the instability of the ground, near the Rambla de Benipila, and by the need to change the steering system of the building initially projected.

During this time the City and Jarquil Andalucia SA, adjudicataroa of work, have negotiated the terms of the modified project and the amount of 340,000 euros, which will be approved shortly by the Local Government Board.

Nor will mean higher costs for the regional administration, as the project had an initial budget of 2.237 million and EUR 1.72 million was awarded for.

This transformation of the current practice in the health center become a reference center of Cartagena West area currently covered by the Health Center Our Lady of Charity, (who also serves Cartagena-East), and the two current locations ( Barrio Barrio de la Concepción and Villalba.)

The expansion will involve the construction of a total area of 2,220 square meters, with four modules arranged on two levels, and design accessible to all users, enabling circulation and parking areas.

With the new modules, the Center will expand the number of queries and Pediatric Dentistry, Physiotherapy and Family Medicine, and introduce new services such as care for women and minor surgery.
