Three buildings were designed by the architect Victor Beltrí who got an award in the V Building Regional Awards were delivered on Friday February 15 at the Municipal School of Music Archena.
The Commission President Beltrí 2012, Juan Ignacio Ferrández, and Vice President José Antonio Rodríguez, were responsible for collecting the awards for the architect.
Also, the show also attended the First Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Joaquin Segado.
During his speech, the Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, praised the figure of the architect remembering the anniversaries of the 150th Anniversary of his birth, which was held last year and invited attendees to visit the exhibition that the College of Architects of the Region of Murcia has organized in collaboration with the Commission Beltrí 2012.
The exhibition will be open to the public at the headquarters of the College in Murcia until 27 February.
La Casa Zapata won the Regional, while La Casa Cervantes was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Buildings section of other uses. Casa Llagostera took the Regional Award in the Buildings section of tourist use.
Three prizes, which were awarded to Cartagena, were for buildings designed by Victor Beltrí and Roqueta.
Analyzing the details of the awards cited above, Casa Zapata highlighted the quality of the construction process and materials used to allow the building owned by the Carmelite Sisters Congregation of Cartagena, is kept in excellent condition after a century.
Also the quality and adaptation to change of use, coupled with its excellent preservation were key to the mention of Cervantes House, owned by Banco Sabadell CAM.
And ultimately, La Casa Llagostera and proper treatment of the items listed.
These prizes are awarded by the Association of Surveyors, Architects and Engineers Technical Building the Region of Murcia and the Ministry of Public Works and Planning in collaboration with the Regional Federation of Entrepreneurs Foundation Building and Cajamurcia. The award is given to agents who have participated in building construction and maintenance, Owners, Architects, Technical Architects and Builders.
