The Cartagena UPyD deputy spokesman, Sergio Martinez, has asked the City of Cartagena to use the tools available in the Rules of Participation, in particular on public consultation, to be the people themselves who decide to change, or not, the name to the "Avenida del Generalissimo" in La Puebla.
Thus, Martinez, explained that "there are citizens of La Puebla who are not comfortable with the name of that Avenidad, UPyD understand that position, but we believe it is an initiative that has come out of all citizens and they propose that seeks the views of the neighbors. "
To UPyD, are these cases that the City Council, and through surveys, opinion polls, the new technology is easily available to citizens, and thus make them participate, and more directly, the activity of municipality.
