Responsible ACCEM, an NGO working with refugees and immigrants by promoting social inclusion and equal rights for all races, on Thursday met with the director of the Municipal Institute of Social Services, Antonio Mula, to coordinate efforts.

ACCEM is an NGO working with refugees and immigrants, promoting social inclusion and equal rights for all races, regardless of origin, gender, race, religion or social group.

It is a special purpose entity the right to asylum and migration, where he highlighted his humanitarian work in coordination with other international actors.

IMSS ACCEM and collaborate since 2006, and at the meeting held yesterday, Julia Fernandez showed the gratitude of his body to the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena by providing collaboration, valuing positively the Coordination efforts are developing the IMSS.

Subsequently expressed its commitment to continue to have people working in our city and presented new opportunities for programs that can develop in Cartagena, such as the Programme of Assistance to Victims of discrimination on racial or ethnic origin and Intercultural Mediation Service, both subsidized through European Fund.

These programs would join those that have been conducted so far: Voluntary Return, Accompaniment Program, Emergency Assistance to Vulnerable Groups and Humanitarian Assistance Program for Immigrants.

Meanwhile, from the IMSS applauded ACCEM involvement and coordinated work of the two bodies, highlighting the facilities given at all times and are a clear example of the philosophy that leads the Department of Social Services, along with further line through networking with organizations that develop their social action in our municipality.
