The Department of Celebration of the City of Cartagena has called, once again, the floral offering to the patron saint of the city, the Virgin of Charity, held on Good Friday, March 22.

In order to coordinate the spontaneous participation of Cartagena that day involved in the parade and subsequent offering in the Church of Charity, the Department has opened up on the 8th of March, a deadline for registration to be part of the procession, enrollment to be performed by the associations and groups that wish Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy C /.

The same term is opened for bands of bugles and drums or any other musical groups that will form part of the parade.

People who wish to participate and are not members, also may be addressed in the Department in that period for its location in the group, representing the Department of Celebration, closes the parade.

The parade prior to the offering will focus on the Town Hall Square at 17:00, departing at 17:30, and will run along the following route: Main Street, Plaza de San Sebastián, Puerta de Murcia, Santa Florentina, Park , Plaza López Pinto, Serreta and Church of Charity.

To participate in this traditional event must come dressed in the costume of Cartagena.

MÃ S SHORT ROUTE

For more smoothly, since in addition to adults, involving many young children and, in addition to bouquets, baskets and offerings are carrying considerable weight, this year shortens a journey section on the previous, thereby reducing the time and expected distance.

This time will not go through Sagasta, Tolosa Latour and Carmen.

Furthermore, and as was done last year, along with the flower baskets, brackets are located on either side of the front door of the Basilica of Charity as a basis for drawing up the mantle of the Virgin.

The bouquets should be preferably 6-8 carnations in white, red or pink, without wrapping or cellophane.
