Since this morning traffic Avenue Juan Carlos I has been limited to one lane back up to Barrio de Los Dolores, in the section between the road and the roundabout Sigh streets and Floridablanca Conesa Calderón.
The reason is none other than the progress of the renovation of potable water and stormwater that is conducting the City Council to solve the problems of flooding rains that originate in the Media Room.
Thus, vehicles from Los Dolores seeking access to the city, once in the roundabout that connects to the Avenida Juan Carlos I, to be diverted and Castillitos surrounding urbanization, the streets Conesa Calderón and sighed.
This will change on Thursday, the day of the weekly market of Sorrows, which is installed on the street Conesa Calderón.
For them, during the celebration of the market, including six in the morning and five in the afternoon, the works stretch of Avenida Juan Carlos I promptly become a two-way traffic, with alternate step.
The work will take about 15 days or so and Local Police advises citizens to use other routes to avoid potential jams.
As you may recall, these works are part of the remodeling project on Avenida Juan Carlos I, launched by the Department of Infrastructure, which will collect rainwater from the North West and channel it through a rain collector of 650 meters in length to Acuamed network, and hence, to the Rambla of Barreros.
