The Local Government Board, meeting this morning, chaired by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has approved the two-year multi-annual expenditure for procurement of technical assistance on insurance.
As reported by the spokesman, José Cabezos, the action is taken after the positive experience gained during the past year 2012, which succeeded in saving some 150,000 euros premiums and discounts, with the recruitment of an insurance specialist who undertook to revise certain policies and legal conditions.
The amount saved came from the hiring of a new general policy council vehicles and autonomous agencies (65,000 euros) and the low return of premium life insurance claims Municipal (98,000 euros).
In contrast, this technical assistance fees were in 2012, about 22,000 euros.
For the years 2013 and 2014, the City will use this advice to try to reduce the departure of about 500,000 euros annually to pay employing insurance policies.
The next it intends to revise and even hire are liability and equity, the municipal buildings and life insurance for municipal employees.
SUBSIDIES FOR TABLES AND CHAIRS HOSTELEROS
The Local Government Board has approved the award of 78 grants to as many terraces holders in public catering establishments, amounting to 51,152 euros.
As explained by the spokesman of the government team, José Cabezos, the measure complies with the commitment to industry professionals to compensate with the aid by 35 percent the amount of the fee paid municipal during 2012 for the installation of tables and chairs.
The aid was granted to establishments that have applied and after checking the municipal services that had legalized the space occupied.
In this sense have been awarded grants under the space through which they had no license and why in some cases had taken over.
The establishment that have requested this assistance have been 104, leaving 26 pending check certain data.
MUNICIPAL FACILITIES ASSIGNMENT FOR SAFEGOAL
The Governing Board also gave the green light to the collaboration agreement with the City Council of the International Youth Tournament organizers Safegoal Spain Mar Menor, an international youth football tournament, that between 1 and 6 July 2013 and others gather in Cartagena neighboring municipalities, between 3,000 and 7,000 athletes from Spain and other countries.
The agreement provides for the transfer of municipal sports facilities, soccer fields and pavilions, and schools to accommodate the participants.
According to the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, is a prestigious Open Championship which will enhance the area as a receptor called sports tourism.
2013 sales plan
Another issue approved by the Governing Board has been approving Plan Sales outside the business premises in 2013 and the withdrawal of license holders who have not justified their absence in posts for 2012.
The sales plan is similar to the year 2012, in which are collected 17 in the municipal markets : season five and twelve year, and includes 1,725 ​​positions.
Some 90 holders of these posts have been discharged for not adequately justified their absence, and these vacancies be filled through the waiting list that was created in the last edition.

The reason was the judgment of the Constitutional Court of July 2012 declaring the unconstitutionality of the current state legislation on vending, the invading powers of the autonomous communities.
Since the City Council could not make a new call for the award until the Autonomous approve its own rules, it was decided to extend the current license and meet the resignation or low penalty with vendors included in the waiting list of the last edition.
