The City of Cartagena, through the Department of Public Safety and Public Way, has begun work on the removal of pedestrian crossings in the city considered dangerous performance that meets the objective of improving road safety in the municipality, mainly for pedestrians.
Before starting work, which will last around a week, yesterday was a test in one of the pedestrian crossings to be eliminated, that of Victor Avenue Beltrí linking with school Mandarache Hispania, in the section of service road, using a milling machine to remove blades base paint, then proceeding to cover with an asphalt emulsion on the road section which has acted.
Once satisfied that the results are positive, in a couple of days will continue this action intended to reduce the danger of our roads and that will mean elimination half-dozen zebra crossings, as are, besides the above mentioned twice à Bruna at the height ngel Jiménez de la Espada, the yellow that linked the Children's Home with the former Naval Museum, and out of use, the Trovero Marin Avenue opposite the bus station, and the front Feringán Sebastian Avenue the Perpetual Help.
