On
Friday Social Care Councilman of the City of Cartagena, Antonio Calderon, closed the Fourth Conference on Alzheimer, Aging with Health: Prevention of neurodegenerative diseases.
The event was also attended by the President of the Association of Friends and Relatives of Alzheimer Cartagena and Shire (AFAL) and Secretary General of the UNED, Antonia Saltaella Rincon and Maria Luisa Martinez Jimenez, respectively.
Improve understanding of the various pathologies associated with aging and that it serves the social-health professionals, caregivers and families to meet and help preserve the identity and autonomy of patients are the main objectives of this conference which began on
Dec. 12 in the auditorium of the UNED.
Also, the issue has been on the cognitive stimulation in the elderly with dementia, aging and neuroplasticity, independence in activities of daily living, physical stimulation as a preventive method, activity and sleep in the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases, differential diagnosis, neuropsychology assessment: Versus Alzheimer Pseudemencias, common diseases of aging, role of diet in age-related diseases and heart-healthy habits in aging.
