The mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by the director of the SEF, Ginés Martínez, and Councilman Jobs, Diego Ortega, presided this morning presented diplomas to the 43 students who took for today after their training through The Workshop School Apeadero, sponsored by the Agency for Local Development and Employment.
The mayor is proud of the effort shown by these young people, some of whom have faced the difficult task of working and studying at the same time, and also have left mark on many corners and gardens of the city, in which have been doing infrastructure improvement work.
After two years of work and effort, these young people already have the certificate attesting to their training and professional experience, having taken the opportunity given to them to learn a trade and improve their training for a position in the labor market, such as Ginés Martínez said.
Once the-job training program, which lasted a total of 24 months, the students of the School workshop held unpaid internships in different companies in the municipality, within its area of specialty.
Such practices will have a duration of 80 hours and will begin on January 8, naming a guardian by the ALDE and the company, in order to track the student during the time of the internship.
Companies with which the ALDE has formalized partnerships for the development of practices have been JARDIWORLD, CAMPING Portus, GEPCOM, NURSERY NTC, Guari, TALASUR COMARVE And, some of which have already expressed their willingness to hire some of pupils at the end of practice.

Workshop School The Halt was launched last December 27, 2010 to qualify Cartagena 43 youth in trades such as bricklaying, carpentry, gardening and Facilities (plumbing and electrical).
The ages are between 16 and 24 years, and now all students participating older workers.
Training Workshops are job training projects, of a duration of two years, divided into periods or phases of six months each.
During the first phase students receive a grant of 9 euros per day attended, after which those who have passed, signed a training contract with the Agency for Local Development and Employment of the City of Cartagena by receiving 75% the SMI.
These projects are being developed in Cartagena for over 15 years and in particular the project ET Apeadero main objective is to achieve the employment of 43 student-workers, by improving their skills, while running a project work, as they did with the recovery of a landmark for our community as the old station and Peral Quarter, improvement and landscaping both historical spaces like the garden of the Plaza de la Merced (known as the Garden of Lake), and of gardens in slum areas, such as the Garden Juan Carlos I, in the settlement of New Cartagena.
Workshop School is located in the Training Centre Quarries.

Students who did not have the title of Secondary Education (ESO), have been prepared in the School to stand for free tests for obtaining the same, getting more than 50% of students have passed the tests presented in the various calls, and thus other Inserting not least, their integration into the education system, as some of them are enrolled in Bachelor Degree and various media, completing his training with it.
School Workshop consists of a Director, a Technical Coordinator, 5 experts and an administrative assistant teachers.
The whole team with the support of the ALDE and the Department responsible for the project and other technicians of the City of Cartagena related thereto (infrastructure, parks and gardens, legal ...) so this school comes to fruition and is another successful training projects coordinated by the ALDE.
