The brothers / sisters and friends of all groups of the Risen again demonstrated this weekend that the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Risen is a brotherhood especially solidarity, responding massively with their contributions to the appeal of the Brotherhood.
More than 2,500 kilos of nonperishable food was collected between Friday and Saturday the Brotherhood within the campaign "Food Collection", an initiative organized every year, and aims to help needy families in the city these days so fond of Christmas.
From early morning settled the fixed point of collection in Warehouse and Material Thrones Mahon Street.
In addition, the Ladies Guild held its special collection of products intended for children of Casa de Cuna and Hospitality over Santa Teresa.
Many volunteers participated throughout the campaign, receiving numerous contributions donated by hundreds of brothers and sisters of all groups of the Brotherhood.
All donated food will now become part of the Food Pantry Caritas managing the Parish of Santa Maria de Gracia, San Fulgencio, San Antonio Maria Claret and St. James of Santa Lucia, a very needy group that develops important social role and that distributes food every day from many poor families.
With the great success of the "Food Collection Campaign", which is organized every year in the city, the Brotherhood of the Risen One, along with her sisters of Holy Week Brotherhoods Cartagena again demonstrate its commitment to people who need it most making it clear once again that combining the efforts of all could be done to those who cross SHC.
