The religious of the Holy Family of Bordeaux Cartagena, better known as Nieves, yesterday received the IV Award to voluntary commitment, an award granted by the City Commission of Voluntary Commitment Award.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Social Care, Antonio Calderon, and the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto.
During his speech, Antonio Calderón said that Adelaide 82 years dedicated to the service of the poor.
The prize, a native of Madrid, arrived in Cartagena in 1990 where he began his work as a volunteer at Caritas, specifically, the project aims Jaloque that social inclusion of women in the neighborhood and I Campano Los Mateos.
