The Roman Theatre Museum in Cartagena will host on December 12 a series of activities organized by the Foundation Sefarad Beitenu to mark the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.
The day will begin at 20.00 pm in the museum auditorium of Cartagena with the institutional presentation, to proceed after the lecture by Rabbi Benyamin Cohen Venezia Schelita Gil, former deputy chief rabbi of the Jewish community in Madrid .
After the speech, there will be the lighting of the menorah or candlestick Party by the Chief Rabbi in the portico of the City.
Those attending the event can also enjoy the sufganiot, donuts typical of this holiday.
This is the third year that the region of Murcia celebrates Chanukah party also called Feast of Lights or skylights and commemorates the departure in 1492 of thousands of Jews through the port of Cartagena.
