Councillor for Employment, Diego Ortega, and the director of the ALDE, Francisco Garcia-Valenzuela, on Monday visited the students participating in the course Technician Canine Behavior Modification, organized by the Agency of Local Development and Employment.
This training is being developed in Pozo Strait, at Club Canine Education, with a duration of 90 hours and taught by a professional dog trainer, Francisco Bar, recognized by the National Association of Professional Canine Handlers (ANACP).
The goal is for students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to solve problems more common canine behavior.
The twelve students, selected from about fifty, are receiving training in areas related to training and treatment of potentially dangerous dogs, fears and phobias, aggression, eating disorders and destructive behaviors.
It is an eminently practical training activity aimed at unemployed people with training profile and personal characteristics oriented course, wanting to become a professional dog training, as well as those correcting inappropriate behavior that may cause problems with aggression, destructiveness, bad habits, stress, etc..
Students can do internships in boarding kennels, animal protection and civil protection, expanding their career, as they learn what it takes to establish themselves as dog trainer in schools, or clubs.
To date, the proposal has been accepted by the new Canine Professional Qualification, hoping to establish the official title of Canine and training modules.
