On Tuesday, December 4, will be the Sports Gala Cartagenero in which prizes will be awarded to the best athletes and organizations in 2011.

The ceremony is open to the general public, will take place from 20 am in Conference Room B of the Auditorium of The Tender, and will, among other authorities, with the assistance of the mayor, Pilar Barreiro and the Councillor for Sports, José Cabezos.

During the gala will be delivered the following distinctions:

- Best Male Athlete: Bertrand García Alcaraz (athletics).

- Best female athlete: Carlota Conrado Garcia (Volleyball Mediterranean).

- Best Sponsor: Cheese Pedro Diaz, sponsor of Handball Club Cartagena.

- Best event: Cross of Artillery.

- Best club national category: Rhythmic Club Cartagena.

- Better basic club: Club Swimming Cartagonova.

- Best athlete revelation: Antonio Lopez Montoya (Real Racing Club de Cartagena).

- Best school: IES Santa Lucia.

- Fair Play Award: CD Primi Sport.

- Award for Best Neighborhood Association: Neighbors Association of Los Urrutias.

It was also given a special mention of the work for 30 years has made ​​the now defunct Municipal Sports Cartagena, for what have been called different Sports councilors that the municipal entity has had since its inception.
