Rafael Sanchez has expressed its satisfaction that the Ministry of Culture has taken the decision "more logical", as "a treasure of nature that should be restored and exhibited in the National Museum as Arqua Cartagena"
The regional coordinator UPyD, Rafael Sanchez, said that is great news that the treasure of the frigate "Our Lady of Mercy", can be exhibited in its entirety, at the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology (Arqua) of Cartagena.
Sanchez has argued that the cultural heritage of general interest should be displayed in the corresponding National Museums.
In this sense, Rafael Sanchez believes "very wise decision" that over 500,000 pieces of the shipwrecked Spanish frigate in 1804 and very important cultural value, finally in Cartagena reheating.
In this sense, the regional coordinator of vocational applauded magenta which outweighed the technical criteria and not those of "political expediency", which determined the final decision that the treasure is exposed in Arqua Cartagena.
Sanchez is sure that the importance of this piece will give a cultural relevance to Arqua, taking their economic consequences for the city of Cartagena to increase the number of visitors to the Museum, both in the region and the rest of Spain and even internationally.
