Tasting fish indigenous to the European Day of Aquaculture (29/11/2012)

Bream, sea bass, tuna and Corbina are fish that breed on the coasts of the region.

To mark the European Day of Aquaculture, held November 30 morning, the restaurant La Catedral and the School of Hotel Cartagena City Council have organized an exhibition of marine aquaculture products.

Although the show will start at 12 hours previously, at 11, the upperclassmen of kitchen Cartagena Hotel School will attend a course of cutting marine aquaculture products on board the catamaran from a farm in the area .

Moreover, students can upload morning aboard one of two cruise ships arriving in Cartagena on Friday and meet the kitchen facilities.

E l catamaran will be located off the scale, and n the spring of Alfonso XII.

Anyone who wishes may follow live class, thanks to television screens to be placed in the area.

Students will learn to cut and cook in different ways fish such as sea bass, sea bream, tuna and croaker. Addition, tour guides explain what procedure was followed and what kind of fish it is.

Such products can be tasted after 13 hours on the esplanade of the spring.

The aim of these activities, which are part of the European Day programming Aquaculture, is to combine the main drivers of the city such as aquaculture and tourism, considering that tomorrow come to the city two cruises over 3,000 tourists.

This event, held for the first time in the port city, is part of the Blue Economy project, which promotes the European Economic Community to open new lines of growth and development in the participating countries.
