The economic crisis is causing a large number of dramas in the form of evictions in many families Cartagena.
The number of people affected by problems with banks far from slowing down, has been increasing over the crisis, so we believe that local government, with its mayor at the head must take action on this critical issue.
From SPCT propose a package of measures on the one hand to help families who are going through this hell and on the other hand, the local government must take action as did other consistories in Spain, to hinder the possible future evictions .
In this regard, we propose that children of families evicted in Cartagena in school age child care are free at local nurseries, including maintenance.
Also consider urgent implementation of a stock of rental housing with affordable prices to the weak economies of these families.
Finally like other municipalities in Spain, the Mayor should direct the local police not involved in evictions which unfortunately are programmed in our town.
From SPCT we reiterate the need to create a Municipal Committee Against Eviction in Cartagena, to the City along with the affected platform in Cartagena, work together to eliminate this social evil.
