The sixteenth edition of Between Strings and Brass is underway.
Next week will begin promotional concerts in Lorca, Murcia and Cartagena.
In them, the winners of the previous edition of solo act withthe Cartagena Chamber Orchestra.
The concerts will be on the 19th, at the Conservatory of Music Narciso Yepes of Lorca, 20, at the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena and 21, in Murcia. The shows start at 19 pm.
Youth Councillor, Ruth Collado, and the coordinator of the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra and Director of Studies at the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, Pedro Martinez, presented this morning the sixteenth edition of the contest organized annually by the Department of Youth and Cartagena Music Conservatory.
Martinez has held that this is a great opportunity for the winners of the previous edition to play with an orchestra consolidated and improve their curriculum.
The winners of the previous edition that will perform as soloists in the concert promotion are: Elias Romero Clares (percussion), Maria Isabel Guerrero Simon (flute), Daniel Bañón Gomez (guitar), Cristina Sánchez Gómez (piano), John Ines Periago (cello), Marina Aznar Aldeguer (bass), and ¼ Yaga Eloy Martinez (trombone).
ENTRIES FOR THE COMPETITION
Moreover, today is now open for registration to participate in the XVI edition of the contest between strings and brass. Until 18 January you can record any young person who is pursuing a professional music education in the Region of Murcia.
The conditions of the competition are Piano, strings (violin, viola, cello, bass), guitar, woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe and bassoon), brass (trombone, trumpet, horn and tuba), percussion and singing.
Have been established, as in previous editions, each of the two phases modalities: a playoff and final, where contestants will perform two works of free choice.
The dates of the first phase are:
March 11 - March CANTO12 - March GUITARRA13 - percussion "N14 March - March METAL18 WIND - CUERDA20 March - March PIANO21 - WOODWIND
The finals will be held during the month of April. Audiociones All will be in the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena (Calle Jorge Juan, s / n).
The awards ceremony and the closing concert will be on May 3 in Room A of the Auditorium and Convention Center of Cartagena The Batel.
The economic value reserved for awards are in the amount of 7,700 euros.
(There will be a first prize in each of the modalities of EUR 750 and a second prize of 350 euros).
Admission to the concert promotional contest auditions and the final concert will be free until all seats.
Furthermore, the Contest Closing will be offered the opportunity to one of the winners of last year playing as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena.
