Sculptures', composed of 52 pieces of which 12 are unknown to the public, will run until April 7 in the Regional Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of the Roman Theatre of Cartagena
The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today inaugurated the exhibition 'González Beltrán.
Sculptures', which will be shown in the Regional Museum of Modern Art (MURAM) and the Museum of the Roman Theatre in Cartagena until 7th April.
Valcarcel said "the strength and vitality" that Mariano Gonzalez Beltran continues to work "in the search for new horizons, without denying what has been done so far, and rejecting any temptation to fit", and also said that this tour for his work "we confirms that, despite having a unique style that defines their creations, they are enshrined in the wide and rich sculptural tradition of the Murcia region. "
The sample consists of 52 pieces distributed between its two locations, 33 of which are located in the rooms of MURAM and 19 are in the Museum of the Roman Theatre.
All these works represents, on one hand, a temporary reading from production artist recent public unexposed before (represented by 12 pieces) to its first creations, and recovered to the sample that had not been exhibited more than Once many years ago, but of great significance in Murcia sculptor's career.
In the sample types are very present and recurring themes in the sculptor, who have formed different series that combine, in turn, with various parts section concerning interests of the artist, more or less circumstantial and that the Conversely, they have given rise to collections.
Finally, attempts to articulate in the sample multiple connections between works, in an attempt to move from the academic to the exhibition and to confirm or refute theories about possible relationships that can be established between the parts.
