The Governing Council has approved a grant of 500,000 euros to the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), which will be formalized through the signing of the contract program between the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research and educational institution.
The contract program provides additional funding for public universities in the region linked to the achievement of quality objectives and management faculty.
Specifically, it sets objectives and lines of action planning and quality of services, the European Higher Education Area, teaching and mobility, research and technology transfer, campus improvement actions and incorporating technologies of Information and Communication .
This mechanism was established in 2002 to encourage academic institutions to transform their internal management systems by directing them to models that, in addition to distributing resources according to the required standards, encourage the university to improve its quality.
The aim is, therefore, contribute to the improvement of teaching, research and management, with a consequent positive impact on student satisfaction and improving their training.
