One of the days of the week the host university has dedicated this year to volunteer.
The idea, which came from the college students themselves, came to sensitize their peers on the importance of solidarity today.
The Director General of Social Care, Antonio Mula and the Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension UPCT, Francisco Martinez, inaugurated this morning the days in which eleven participating non-profit associations.
For me it was a satisfaction that students devote this week to sensitize their peers on this subject, said Martinez.
Throughout the day, students were able to see the projects that are taking place right now in the town. Anticipate that will come about 500 people, in addition to stop by the booth, will attend the talks I give volunteers, has said the Vice Chancellor for Students.
This activity helps young people to enter the world of volunteering, but today, according to the vice president of the Student Council, many of the university working with different organizations.
MUNICIPAL PLAN VOLUNTEER
The Partnerships Fair is part of the Municipal Plan of Voluntary launched a couple of years ago the City.
Currently, there are over 80 surveyed nonprofit organizations in Cartagena and volunteering in the stock of the Department of Social Services surveyed 500 people there.
Among the associations that participated in the fair highlights the program Volunteer Municipal Hall, Implica2, of the Youth Council, the EVS (European Voluntary Service), the Food Bank of the Region of Murcia, SOI Foundation, Foundation FADE, Manos Unidas, Asteamur, Sherpa Youth Association and Caritas Diocese of Cartagena.
