In relation to the statement issued this morning by the Municipal Group of Citizens Movement, on the presence of the Councillor for Women and council officials on the trip to this city department has organized for next week to the Basque Country, the Government Team feels the need to clarify the following:

That for 14 years the Department of Women is organizing a trip of this nature, in its annual program of activities, involving women from different associations and groups that individually paid the cost of the activity.

Whenever it was possible, the councilor has to accompany women on these trips, along with support staff of the council, responsible for resolving any queries that may arise.

The presence of the Councillor with two officials from his department on the next trip to the Basque Country, in which 70 women particparán be performed at no charge to the city of Cartagena.
