A team of students and professors at the University of Mainz in Germany, on Monday visited the Cueva Victoria accompanied by Dr. Luis Gibert, director of the excavations of this cavity, and scientist Gary Scott of the University of Berkeley, California.
Visit surveyed a calcite formations dating the chronology of the formation of the cavity. Using Uranium-Thorium methods, specifying the magnetic polarity changes, allowing the site to know the time of Cueva Victoria.
With these data, determine the climatic changes of the period of the fauna of Victoria Cave providing valuable data for reservoir understanding.
