The Madrid International Orchestra was founded in 2005 by the bassist, bandleader and promoter Virgil Popa.
Conceived as a symphonic group focused primarily on the interpretation of works from the classical repertoire, is able to change its structure in terms of repertoire, allowing you to tackle a diverse range symphonic and vocal symphonic, including opera, zarzuela and chamber music.
The orchestra consists of a fixed roster of over 80 instrumentalists of international experience, trained in the most distinguished schools in Europe, Asia and America.
The group has regularly with the participation of renowned violinists Sergo Lazarev and Carol Vitez, and with the collaboration of guest lecturers or soloists as violinist Sikoeva Margarita, or the cellist Gaudron Laure Dragos Balan.
The Orchestra has collaborated with renowned guest conductors such as Corneliu Calistru, Gheorghe Stanciu, Vladimir Harbaruk and Nicolae Ursu, who throughout his short life have contributed to the enthusiasm and technical expertise that shows this young orchestra.
Madrid International Orchestra and has performed in some of the main halls and Spanish cities such as Madrid Gran Via theaters, Latinarte, Castelar Theatre Elda, Alicante Principal Theatre, Performing Arts Center and Music of Salamanca, Theatre Principal of Orense, working at the institutional level in events organized by the Autonomous Community of Madrid, Catalan, Andalusian, Castile and Leon, Castile-La Mancha, Navarra and Aragon region.
