The board of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Cartagena and its Region (AJE) wants to express through this letter to the media, which supports the initiative of the municipality of Cartagena to pedestrian streets of the historic center including between the Plaza de San Gines and Cannon Street, as this form will reactivate a depressed area, assuming a new attraction for tourism.
Additionally, AJE wishes to state that the "new pedestrianization" will also be positive for trade, it will encourage the emergence of entrepreneurs who seek to set up their business as San Francisco streets, fields, Air, Jara or Glorieta own.
This municipal proposal that will be launched in a month, will give life to the environment, facilitating the implementation of new shops and terraces, and likely to arouse interest in rehabilitating buildings in the area.
To reinforce this statement we rely on the example of the first pedestrian, held in the axis that runs from the Plaza of Spain to the port, as a clear sign of a municipal intervention advantageous to the interests of the people of Cartagena, especially business and tourism, without neglecting social welfare reflected in a recreational converted to the citizen.
Finally, AJE wishes to state that will provide support and advice based on C / Mayor 31 to all those entrepreneurs who decide to open their businesses in the area.
