The campaign to collect used textbooks, of the Department of Education, back to work.
The book bank has collected 2860 specimens before the start of the school year, as reported this morning the mayor of Education, Josefa Maroto, at a press conference to take stock of the start of classes.
Copies will be distributed on October 1 to 824 students from 25 different schools.
Although classes have already started for students of Childhood and Elementary Education, and starting next week the High School, still can deposit used textbooks or reading that are in perfect condition, Maroto recalled.
Copies can carry any OMIT, at the headquarters of the Department of Education or the bank's books, which is located on the street of San Javier Rivera, 13.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 to 14 hours.
Currently, the bank has on deposit books 4186 copies of textbooks and reading, they are those who, for various reasons have become obsolete or have not required the different schools.
Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, thanked schools and families help in the campaign to collect used textbooks, and this shows its solidarity in these times and encourages other students to continue their education.

As for the 2012-2013 school year, classes have started normally.
The works in schools have already finished.
According to data, there have been 1,425 performances and Primary schools throughout the year amounting to 660 thousand euros.
In summer you can make works that hinder the work of students as painting classrooms, indicated Maroto, explaining that works were carried out in 33 schools in the municipality.
This year 792 students were enrolled in primary schools. Waitlisted still have 48 students, but later admitted was 36.
The reason is, according to the mayor, that most still expect a place belonging to schools in Barrio Milagrosa Peral and were given the option of choosing another center, but they refused and so continue to list waiting.
